My Will Power Is Non-Existant

14 Dec

Drum roll please….

We have discovered that we will be welcoming another little boy into our family  🙂   I just couldn’t stand the wait. I know, I suck (you can stop reminding me now Jasmin). We decided to take Keely with us to the ultrasound. neat-o. They now display the image on a 46 inch flat screen mounted in the corner of the room… which is just downright awesome. Keely really enjoyed seeing the baby. I think it gave her some reality to a baby actually being in my belly. Brian saw his ‘boy parts’ before the ultrasound tech did. As we’re sitting in a quiet room, Brian suddenly yells out, “it’s a boy!”… & I’m looking at the screen like, “wha?! what’d I miss?” Once the tech confirmed Brian’s discovery, Keely’s response was, “noooo… it’s a girl.” haha. The lady informed Keely that she could keep her hope alive, but that she (the tech) is usually pretty accurate about these things. Most importantly… the baby looks perfect! He’s measuring right on schedule, his heart looks perfect, his spine, his head circumference, etc.

So… 2 boys, 19 months apart. If you all suddenly find out that I’ve hung myself in the middle of my living room in a couple of years… well… you know why. All kidding aside, we are really excited… especially for the benefits of both Keely & Cale. Brian is happy that Keely will be his only little girl. He doesn’t want anyone to compete for her place in his heart. *sweet* Having the 2 sexes the closest in age has lots of benefits on it’s own. I’m sure the boys will be really close. & good for mommy… boys seem to get along much better than sisters.

One of the greatest things about following God is that, it’s so peaceful knowing that He always gives us exactly what we need to suite our lives, our family, our personalities, & our hearts. It honestly didn’t matter to us whether it was a boy or a girl… we saw benefits to both, but it’s nice to be in awe simply with the miracle of a child & the special calling that God has for us as parents.

Tabitha & I will be having little boys within days of one another. This should be interesting.
