I definitely understand the concept of "letting a kid be a kid" but by the same token, the ultimate responsibility of a parent, Christian or otherwise, is to teach their children how to be an adult, so I personally believe in treating children as much like an adult as that child can handle, while not "stealing their childhood". One of the best ways I see how to do this is exactly what you have done, giving them responsibility, and effectively communicating expectations, and then holding them to those. Thanks for sharing this. You are constantly pushing and moving and growing, and in the midst of everything, looking around to see how you can minister to others. Thank you for sharing your story on here and being so transparent with everything. And you're right...we all have something that we're pushing to grow through or that we have to stand on the Word about...which is why I'm glad we have such an incredible family at LW to encourage us to do just that! :) No one can ever hear this enough, but I think you & your family are amazing!
