Can’t Argue With Age… or At Least The Evidence Of It

I officially feel old! Nooo… not because I just celebrated my 27th birthday… birthdays don’t depress me like they do B.  Actually it’s because I have been in excruciating pain for the last 2 weeks because of a condition that I have finally been diagnosed with as “sciatica”. What is that you ask?? It’s super interesting & exciting… you don’t want to miss this *facetious tone*. I apparently have a herniated disc (probably caused by miserable 3rd trimester pregnancies) that is putting pressure & inflammation on my sciatic nerve, which is the largest nerve in the body & quite painful when tampered with *yikes!*.

I am finally in with the orthopedic doc next week to hopefully get some permanent relief. But for tonight & the rest of the week… I’m doped up on pain medication, steroids, & muscle relaxers due to my 2 hour trip to the Urgent Care this morning. 2 hours & $50 bucks later… all I got was a, “Sciatica is a very painful condition!” & enough meds to last until my appointment with the specialist next week. Better than what I was facing this time last night… I took enough Tylenol PM & ibuprofen to kill a horse, but I slept!

So there you have it… I am officially old (me & my bad back) AND boring (I am writing a blog about it for geez sake!). I’m going to hate myself for putting this whole ordeal down on paper someday.

This is how I felt after the 4 weeks of chiropractor visits & yoga…

HAHAHAHAHAHA!! This is so funny. Not that you hurt, but the cartoon of the acupuncture. I can see you sitting there in the Dr.’s office :) Sorry you are in pain. I can’t imagine, but at least you have drugs. Yippy!! Feel better and keep the old blogs coming. I am older than you, remember…and they make me laugh!
